Kenya Update from Cindy
I realize that some people may still be worried about what’s going on here in Kenya especially those that know I’m here right now. I thought posting it here would be a good idea.
Today is Saturday and I’ve been in meetings constantly since arriving in Kenya on Wednesday even this morning being Saturday. I’ve been spending most evenings trying to keep up with emails from people concerned, do some of my consulting work and also keep the people joining me posted on the best way forward. Thank goodness things have calmed. Please pray it stays that way.
We have had to rearrange some of our activities due to some inconveniences related to the political situation including one of the four people that was supposed to be joining me deciding not to come (we are still going to go ahead with the activities she was going to co-lead). The political climate has also made them start school a week later causing us to have to rearrange our schedule of events even more.
Therefore I needed to do something just fun…so I took Leonard’s three youngest to the beach to just play. So those of you picturing me in the midst of angry mobs and burning buildings see proof that this afternoon things are all right in my part of the world. How could things not be right when building sandcastles, mermaids and running from waves with children?
Thanks for all your concerns and prayers,
Cindy (from Kenya)
