Successful Kenyan meal and prayer time for Kupenda!

On Saturday, October 24th, over 50 people gathered at Ipswitch Presbyterian Church for a Kenyan meal in support of Kupenda for the Children. The dinner included traditional food items such as chipatis (a tortilla-like dish), karanga (beef stew), pilau (rice dish), lentils, samosas and more. The Kupenda founder, Cindy Bauer, was able to speak to the crowd about Kupenda's mission and update people about current activities. She also performed a song and led a time of prayer. Participants at the event then divided into groups and prayed for the children, volunteers, and staff of Kupenda, as well as the Kenyan economy and conditions due to the recent drought. It was a wonderful time to be unified and encouraged by the good work being done!
