About the Film

On the coast of Kenya, where people impacted by disability are often shunned and viewed as cursed, these three determined teenagers set out to challenge their community’s long-held stigma and climb Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.

Screenings

This 70-minute documentary, created by filmmaker, Philip Knowlton of OPPOSIT, won Best Feature Documentary at the Inclús, Barcelona International Disability Film Festival and was also shown at the Beloit Film Festival and the ReelAbilities Film Festival.
