Last week we celebrated the United Nation’s World Orphan Day. A day where we recognize that 70% of children with disabilities we’ve encountered are orphaned in countries like Kenya. This is often because of the stigma related to their disability.Logo representing World Orphans Day

Our friend Amina was abandoned by both of her parents when they discovered she had hearing and intellectual difficulties.

Her mother even denied she was her child.

Because of the support of her sponsors, she is learning and part of a community where she helps take care of the younger children at her boarding school.

Her mother has seen her progress and now claims her as her daughter again.

Help us “un-orphan” more children with disabilities today by signing up to sponsor a child like Amina!
